As the United States largest private owner of timberlands, at 12 million acres, and having an interest in another 10.9 million acres in Canada, Russia, New Zealand, and Brazil, we have a responsibility to the land. We harvest a renewable recourse and in turn renew it ourselves. As the world's largest seedling grower, we plant some 165 million new trees in the year 2000 alone.
